DoctorsInRVs travel throughout the U.S. in their RV giving healthcare news and information to the RV community. We encourage hospitals and other healthcare facilities to join us as we provide healthcare information to RV’ers traveling through their area.

In the U.S., approximately 1 million Americans travel and live in recreational vehicles full-time. RV ownership has grown from 7.9 million households in 2005 to over 9 million today, which means over 11% of US households own a recreational vehicle. Over 40 million Americans regularly go RVing with more than 50% of RVers take their pets away with them. They spend between 3 to 4 weeks in their recreational vehicle each year. There are over 16,000 campgrounds and parking facilities to support public and private RV camping. The industry contributed over $114 billion to the US economy in 2018.

DIRV will attend health fairs and visit hospitals throughout the country and will post videos and newsletters of the events for our RV Community. We also will provide the event’s information on our web site and in our newsletter to RV’ers.

Our mission includes helping hospitals and healthcare facilities provide information and address the needs of the RV community. This includes adding to the hospital's websites information on such things as parking area for RV patients/visitors; hospital RV contact representative; medical appointment assistance; prescription med refills; insurance verification; and emergency room visits.
